Chemnitz University of Technology – New Lecture Building ("Orangerie")

The conference will take place in the New Lecture Building of Chemnitz University of Technology. The New Lecture Building was designed by Meinhard von Gerkan, Marg und Partner, Hamburg in a radically modern style, with a base of glass topped by an angular concrete construction painted in strong bright colours. As orange is the most common of them, the building has earned the nickname "Orangerie".

Since its construction in 1997, the New Lecture Building has become a famous landmark building of the university campus Reichenhainer Street. The building dovetails nicely to the "City of Modernity", as Chemnitz is called.

The Building provides a seating capacity for more than 2576 people spread over four big lecutre halls and 14 seminar rooms.
