About Chemnitz University of Technology

Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT) ranks among the top five universities in Germany with respect to the quality of teaching. Furthermore, the university is considered as one of the most modern research-based universities in Germany. Project and government founding in recent years enabled the development of new reseach facilities, modernization of buildings and information sources as well as research equipment. CUT offers best conditions for continuous study and excellent research. For more than 10,000 students the university provides a broad range of subjects and an interdisciplinary course of study. Unlike the majority of German universities, Chemnitz University of Technology has a campus.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering encompasses several further departments and institutes. One is the Institute for Print and Media Technology with the chair of print media technology and the chair of digital printing and imaging technology.
